Vitamin B Complex is a Vital Part of a Healthy Regimen



I take vitamin b complex every day to make sure that my immune system works properly. After a period lasting several months in which I felt generally ill but was unable to find a diagnosis or remedy by seeing a doctor, I decided that I needed to be my own doctor and started to take steps to maintain my own health. This new attitude and health regimen included taking vitamins and other supplements in order to keep myself healthy.

I believe that vitamin b complex has helped me fight off viruses and infections and keeps my immune system working well. I believe that taking vitamin b complex, especially when I feel a cold coming, lessens the time that I feel under the weather. The vitamin b complex helps my immune system attack any unhealthy invaders and clear them from my system more quickly than usual or traditional methods may.

I do take a multivitamin every day to fill in the holes that may be created by an unbalanced diet. I prefer chewable vitamins, which are generally children's vitamins, even if I have to take more than one. I think that the benefits of chewable vitamins outweigh the convenience of taking one adult vitamin.

A friend of mine who works in waste water management once told me that one of the most common clogs of sewer systems is adult vitamins. This may sound hard to believe but his explanation was that adult vitamins rarely completely break down within the human system and when they are in the sewer system they are usually in their original compact form. I have to admit that hearing this may have influenced my attitude that favors children's chewable vitamins. Unfortunately for me, I have not found any chewable vitamin b complex pills.

An excellent source of Vitamin B complex is Brewer's Yeast. This is the inactive yeast used in the creation of beer and ale. The Brewer's Yeast is harvested, dried, and heated. This kills off the active enzymes (which is what causes the fermentation of the aforementioned beverages). Brewer's Yeast comes in powdered form either in bulk or in capsule form. Taken daily, it has large amounts of vitamin b complex.

Even though I do not prefer the compact vitamins, I believe the benefits of taking vitamin b complex every day are well worth it. I recommend taking vitamin b complex to everyone under the sun. There is no harm in taking vitamins or other supplements unless, of course, you take too much.

As with any change to your health regimen, please talk with your doctor before taking any vitamins or other medications of any kind. One thing to be aware of before you begin taking vitamin b complex is that the complex is generally yellow in color and when you are clearing the complex from your system it will still appear very bright yellow, if you know what I mean.



Tips for Taking Herbs for Health

* Herbs are gentle and work slowly, so give them time
* Freshness counts, and natural, high quality ingredients are better absorbed by the body (but may cost more)
* Ask about dose, absorption, time to kick in, side effects, fillers, dyes, and how long to take
* Look for standardized extracts (degree of potency)
* Though not a substitute for a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, multi-vitamins may be good for people who eat on-the-run
* Folic acid, a vitamin, is especially important for young women to prevent brain and spinal malfor-mations in their children (400 mg per day)
